Amy’s relationship with movement didn’t begin with fitness goals or performance metrics. It began with music and rhythm.
Movement was a way to process emotion, to regulate energy and to feel present long before it was ever about strength or structure.
Over time, our relationship to movement has shifted. Exercise became a means to ‘fix’ the body or keep up with expectations. Classes became louder. Spaces became busier. The focus moved away from sensation and towards output. Somewhere along the way, the quiet intelligence and ritual of movement was lost.
Ovitra was born from the desire to reclaim that. To create a practice where strength is built through attention rather than force, and where form isn’t restrictive but freeing. Amy’s teaching is shaped by this evolution. It’s informed by discipline, yes, but led by listening. By understanding that bodies change, nervous systems fluctuate and progress isn’t linear.
The way Amy teaches now mirrors the way she moves through the world. With care, restraint and deep respect for the body’s timing. Ovitra is all about building a relationship with movement that feels sustainable, intelligent and trustworthy over time.
At the heart of Ovitra is a belief in three things.
How you move matters more than how much you do. We teach with precision, care and presence.
Every class has a purpose. And every movement has a reason.
Strength isn’t built in extremes and intensity. It’s built through returning, again and again.
Everything about the practice flows from that belief. Classes are kept small so teaching can be attentive and personal. Progression is thoughtful, not performative. Strength is built through consistency and care, not pressure or comparison.
You’re time-poor, mentally loaded and tired of chaotic gyms
You’re craving time that feels like yours, away from responsibilities
You’ve felt intimidated by
reformer Pilates before
You want to feel strong,
grounded and empowered
You value quality,
atmosphere and guidance
Music is an important part of the experience here. Carefully curated playlists that lean more toward rhythm and mood than motivation. Depth, tempo and flow. The kind of sound that carries you through movement rather than pushing you to rush it.
